Existing Home Insulation

At Energy Conservation Insulation we look at your home as a system that works as a whole rather than the sum of the individual parts. This means we will assess all aspects of the home from the crawlspace/ basement assembly to the nails holding the roof shingles on and everything in-between. Once this assessment has been done we recommend the most cost-effective, energy-saving solutions that get to the root of the problems and ensure your family’s safety and comfort.

You as the home owner can choose what retrofits will be done and in what order. Our home performance specialists will work with you to implement the measures to improve the comfort of your home in a timely manner. After the improvements have been made your home performance specialist will come back and retest your home to verify the results. At Energy Conservation Insulation we believe in providing proof that our work is superior so all retrofits that effect the tightness of the building shell (envelope) will be tested after the install. This way you as the homeowner know you are getting what you pay for.

We are not a one stop shopping contractor so some of the work that may be completed on your home may be done by another company but we will work with the companies that have proven themselves with reliability and quality. Our home performance specialists will give you a detailed list of items to be retrofitted as well as companies who we would recommend taking out the guess work of who to call.

Our Expertise

Our home performance experts at Energy Conservation Insulation hold licensing from the Building Performance Institute BPI (www.BPI.org) in the building analyst and building envelope professions. BPI is a non-profit national credentialing agency focusing on quality assurance and setting standards for home performance professionals.

We are an Energy Trust of Oregon Trade Ally and believe in the sustainability building practices. Energy Conservation Insulation is a locally owned and operated company with over 40 years of combined experience. Energy Conservation Insulation prides itself in being a leader in insulation techniques and applications, as well as our World Class Service we provide to our clients. We are passionate about providing our clients with the very best, eco-friendly products available today as well as providing solutions to fit any project no matter how big or small.

Our Goal

The goal at Energy Conservation Insulation is to make the home more efficient which will reduce your utility bills and to make the occupants more comfortable. This is accomplished by air sealing leaks in the building shell identified during the blower door test and duct leakage test, adding insulation to the areas that will save the most on heating and cooling and identifying appliances and lighting that can decrease the electrical loads. These prescriptive measures will also include a return on investment explanation so you as the home owner have a clear understanding of the performance of the home.

Our Services

After your home has had an energy audit and a list of measures has been identified and agreed upon you can move forward with making your home as efficient as possible. Not all homes need the same improvements but most of them will benefit from one or more of our services and possibly some services from other home improvement companies we work with.
